I remember Val (Mrs.Haworth) from 1960 when I was 16 years old. Kyra and I were best friends and I would often go to the Haworth home after school. Val was a beautiful woman. She was an intelligent, cultured, independent woman. At that time she was interested in art, drama, reading, music, travel, and providing the very best she could for her children and husband. Over the years we kept in contact as much as distance would allow. She was very kind to me, my mother, and my grandmother, and was always giving me things she thought we could use. Val would have been so very proud of her son and his family. My love to all of them as they remember their mother/grandmother.
