Uncle Tom has a special place in my heart. He was always kind and showed an interest in what was going on with our family. He had genuine interest in others, was a great conversationalist and was quick with a joke or funny anecdote. He always had a smile on his face and had words of encouragement or advice. I loved his jovial spirit and his his wonderful laugh. Upon hearing of his passing, I felt peace knowing that he led a good long life and is now with Aunt Lil. We should all be so lucky. Susan,David and Kenneth when we moved to Richmond Hill in 1965 we became very good friends of the Ryes , spending many happy evenings at their home. Although we lived there only 3 years , the friendship lasted a lifetime. Tom was one of the most generous, positive people I have know. My children and I remember him fondly Ann Moore Ottawa

Uncle Tom always had a smile when he saw you and was always engaged in our chats over the years. Even when I visited him on the 23rd of Dec when I saw him, he was as sharp as a tack!
