However, I recently found an old cassette tape (taken from an old answering machine) that had some messages you left on it. Digitised them, and sent them to Jennie. It brought some comfort, however hearing your happy voice. I hope it does the same for your daughter.

Happy Birthday Well sweetheart it is birthday time again. When you were younger I could hardly wait for your birthday to come, now they just mean another year without you. I do not know why this ache won't go away. I know you are at peace and having a great time with your grandmother cheating at cards just to make her happy. This year is special for us. Our little girl is having a baby you are going to be a grandma and me a great grandma. What a great birthday present. Dear Sherry-Lee Your father and I were up to Toronto this pass week to visit with the kids Ben is still quiet and shy. he has joined the service----looking at the army not navy like his grandfather Adam has grown into a fine young man-- very outgoing like his mother JennieLee has come into her own---she looks like you and I ---very beautiful and sure of herself. Your father and I took the rest of your ashes up to James's cottage on Pigeon Lake----your old stomping ground. We mixed them with rose petals had a short farewell and sprinkled them in the lake, just as we did that the sun went in behind the clouds to give you a "Hallelujah cloud'pattern.
