I worked with Elisa at Oak Ridges for a short while and remember the way her face would light up whenever she spoke of Ethan and her family. I know that she will be sadly missed and hope that the warmth of her smile will stay with you in comfort. I am so very sorry for your loss.

A beautiful shining light has been taken from us. Elisa fought a courageous battle, but she never lost her sense of humour or her wonderful contagious smile. Elisa passionately loved her saviour Jesus and had love that knew no bounds for Bernie and Ethan. She will be missed beyond words, but when you know the Lord Jesus we never say goodbye, but see you in heaven. Love and comfort and prayers for the family.

I met Lisa many years ago when she was a teenager and I visited Living Waters. I liked the church so I brought my Mom and my sister and my neice there. We all attended the church for many years. Lisa was a lovely young woman and her and I hit it off right away. She had one of the best sense of humours I have ever known and we laughed so much. One Christmas when I was writing a Puppet Play for the church Lisa and I spent hours practising and we laughed so much! When we performed for the children everyone loved it.

Her and my Mom really had a special relationship and over the years Lisa commented on how much she loved my Mom. It was mutual! My Mom loved Lisa so much. I wanted to visit Lisa over the past few years but it never worked out because of the distance and I don't have a car. We sent messages to each other on facebook often and her sensitivity and kind heart have always touched me. Lisa was one of the sweetest, kindest friends I have ever known and I will never forget her. I am very sad that I will never see her again. But I know that she is dancing with her Beloved Bridegroom in Heaven and we will all gather together one day where there is no more suffering or sadness. I've been praying for her for months and will keep her family in my prayers. Unfortunately I can't get to the funeral, as it is far away without a car, but my thoughts will be there on Saturday. I love you sweet Lisa and I will see you again.

Dear Elisa, It is really hard to explain The tremendous loss we and the rest of your church family feel at your passing. I want you to know that I took comfort in knowing that even though we were on separate journeys I could always reach out to you in regards to the excruciating chronic pain I experience On a daily basis. You truly understood what I was going through more than anybody else. Through our suffering we build a strong connection that I cannot even explain. You always treated me and my Mum[Alex] with such kindness and compassion. Thank you for making me feel so loved and accepted. I know that my Mum and I as a well as the rest of your church family at St. John’s will continue to pray for and support Ethan, Bernie, Donna, Rick and the rest of your family as we walked down this path of grief together. You were taken from us way too soon the only Explanation is that God must Have needed another angel. It brings me comfort knowing that even though you are no longer with us, you will watch over all of us with a smile on your face from heaven. I still can not believe that you are gone however I know you are in a better place now. John 14:2 says, Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? I grew up running around church with my sister Sue and Lisa, and eventually with Rick and my brother Tim.
