Dear Pearl and family, It has been such a wonderful pleasure to get to know Gord. Dad and I enjoyed our monthly visits. We had lots of conversations about family and lots of laughs. They will be treasured. He was truly a gentleman. He never missed walking us to our car as we were leaving. Something very rare nowadays. Please know that you are all in our thoughts.

What great memories I have from when Mr. Barber would come to the house with Don, and sometimes with Mrs. Barber. We always shared a good laugh, good conversation and a good story he would love to tell. Pearl, Christine, Cathy & Bill, What a wonderful human being your dad is and was! So warm, honest and a wonderful mentor for his children & grandchildren. No doubt as Gord looks down sitting next to God that beautiful smile, twinkle in his eyes arms crossed as he surveys his brood he and Pearl presented to this world and which he can be so proud. He welcomed me warmly so many years ago a country kid from Mennonite country, the little country mouse he referred to Gloria and I what a great man....rest in peace Gord you will be missed.
